Blinn students can now check out laptops for up to two weeks.
You will be given a laptop bag, a dated date due card and a card to exchange for the laptop itself.
Laptops, with their bags and chargers must be returned to the Reference Desk in the Learning Resource Center (ACB2, rm111) by 4pm on the due date.
Students in the Navigators program can renew their laptops right away if their Navigator mentor has emailed the library. Non-Navigator Blinn students can check out another laptop 24 hours after returning their laptop, as long as nothing is missing or damaged.
Blinn Buildings: Public computers are available in Blinn buildings on the RELLIS campus.
TAMUS Buildings: There are no public computers available in the Learning Resource Center (LRC), the library space in room 111 of ACB2, so students coming to the LRC should bring their own laptops or tablets. Students in the LRC can check out Chromebooks for use there.
Blinn College offers wifi on all campuses. Here is some information from Academic Technology about the Wireless Network:
Get ahead by doing the configuration at home and you will be ready to connect on campus!
The student wireless network at Blinn is eduroam. The network is designed to allow students to configure their devices before arriving on campus. It also allows students to go to other participating universities (most in the US and worldwide) and seamlessly and securely connect. The network uses the Blinn credentials (Buc email address and password) to authenticate plus a certificate.
Blinn students who are on the RELLIS campus but not in the Schwartz or Administration Buildings should connect to TAMU Systems Wifi. Eduroam is preferred because it is more secure, but rellislink.guest is also available.
