The Bryan, Brenham and RELLIS Libraries, Learning Centers, and Writing Centers join forces each semester to offer Procrastination: Impossible. We need faculty volunteers for this event, no matter your teaching discipline. On-site Volunteers will meet with students in their respective libraries. Online Volunteers will facilitate an online Zoom Room. You’ll be helping students with questions related to your teaching discipline (e.g., if you teach math, you’ll assist students with math-related questions). We strive to have volunteers available from all subjects during the entire event, but volunteers will only need to work one hour at a time (i.e. from 5:30-6:30 or 7:30-8:30. etc.).
Service Point Value: 1.0 points.
For more information please contact Rachel Valentine in Bryan, Jonathan Reibenspies in Brenham and Alex Mathai at RELLIS
Events will be hybrid online and in-person. Fall dates for 2025 are Wednesday October 1 and Tuesday November 18.
This event, put on by the library, writing center, and learning center, allows students to receive help from librarians, writing center tutors, learning center tutors, and faculty volunteers with assignments and projects. It also provides a space and encouragement for students to work on projects, papers, and assignments so they will not wait until the very last minute to complete assignments.
We encourage students to attend the event and work on their assignments and projects. Students can take advantage of having faculty, learning center tutors, writing center tutors, and librarians to help with research assignments. The event is come-and-go, so students can stay and work on assignments the entire afternoon/evening or come in and get help for a small amount of time. The library also offers several interactive games and activities to help student learning during the event.
Fall dates for 2025 are Wednesday October 1 and Tuesday November 18.
