This guide contains resources and information related to the scholarship of teaching and learning.

FEATURED RESOURCES

EBSCO Faculty Select is a customized site that leverages the technology of the EBSCO Discovery Service platform that enables faculty to find and access open educational resource (OER) content, as well as find and request unlimited user DRM-Free eBooks from their library. EBSCO Faculty Select is made up of two types of records:

  1. eBooks that are available for purchase. These eBooks include EBSCO DRM-free eBooks, plus any of the following optional collections:

    • EBSCO Unlimited User frontlist eBooks (with DRM protections)
    • Taylor and Francis DRM-free e-books
    • Wiley DRM-free e-books
    • Cambridge DRM-free e-books
  2. Open Textbook metadata and links we’ve licensed from OER providers, including:

    • SUNY Open Textbooks
    • Open BC Textbooks
    • OAPEN Library
    • BC Open Textbooks
    • More are planned.

Center for Teaching and Learning Mission Statement

The CTL seeks to advance faculty skills and knowledge to enhance student learning. 

Goals:   

  1. Collaborate with faculty to provide programs that enhance teaching and learning.
  2. Promote evidence-based teaching and learning.
  3. Recognize and acknowledge teaching innovations of faculty.
  4. Advance new initiatives in teaching and learning.
  5. Facilitate a culture of continuous improvement.
  6. Build communities of teaching and learning among departments, campuses, and communities of practice.

Virtual Center for Teaching and Learning

The Virtual Center for Teaching and Learning community group on eCampus contains a respository of teaching ideas and resources for faculty members. This group also contains general information about the Center for Teaching and Leaning and the CTL Book Club.

To access the Virtual Center for Teaching and Learning log in to eCampus and click the Virtual Center for Teaching and Learning link under Community Groups.
